Dermatix® Ultra Kids contains an innovative silicone gel technology called cyclopentasiloxane (CPX). CPX improves wash off resistance and makes Dermatix® Ultra Kids easy to apply and quick to dry – reducing the risk of accidental ingestion among young children1.

Dermatix® Ultra Kids works best on fresh scars that are less than 2 years old. For best results, apply as soon as the wound has healed. This will allow its active ingredients – CPX and Vitamin C ester – to start working on the scar, as soon as possible.
This is how it works. CPX acts as a protective barrier to prevent transepidermal water loss, which brings the overproduction of collagen back into balance – preventing further formation of the scar. Meanwhile, Vitamin C ester is absorbed into the skin, which lightens the scar.

You only need a small amount of Dermatix® Ultra Kids to cover the scar. Extra amounts will simply be wasted and may increase drying time.
Do not apply to open or wet wounds. Wait for the wound to heal, before applying Dermatix® Ultra Kids onto the scar.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Dermatix® Ultra Kids is suitable for use with children aged 3 months and above.
It depends on many factors. We recommend a minimum treatment time of 60 to 90 days, with older or larger scars requiring a longer treatment time.
For best results, treat your child’s scar using Dermatix® Ultra Kids when it is still fresh (i.e., less than 3 months old), as soon as the wound has closed and healed. Dermatix® Ultra Kids works best when used on scars formed less than 2 years ago.
We recommend applying Dermatix® Ultra Kids twice daily for 3 months on minor scars, and 6 to 9 months on burn scars or surgical scars.
It is suitable to continue using Dermatix® Ultra Kids for as long as continued improvements
Yes, Dermatix® Ultra Kids is suitable for use on sensitive and allergy prone skin. However, should your child have an underlying medical condition (related to their skin), please consult your skin doctor before using Dermatix® Ultra Kids.
